LHC undertook the original masterplanning and consolidation of South Devon College’s several sites onto one site at the disused factory space at Vantage Point, Paignton. An increase in demand for its teaching facilities subsequent to the relocation led the college to embark on a further phase of development – the University Centre – at ithe entrance to its campus. LHC’s original masterplanning factored in the capacity for growth, allowing Phase 2 to sit within the Phase 1 campus.

The new, four-storey University Centre, sited at the College entrance, forms the next phase of the College’s vision and delivers purpose built Higher Education facilities. It provides a flexible, high quality environment including a new Learning Resource Centre, breakout space, classroom and lecture rooms, social and circulation space, together with open areas on the top floor with far reaching views, suitable for small conferences.
