About the Role
We are looking for a talented Urban Designer/Senior Urban Designer to join our multi-disciplinary team in our Exeter studio to work on an exciting range of residential masterplanning, urban design and regeneration projects across the South West and beyond.
This is a fixed term 12-month contract as Maternity Cover with the potential to extend the contract and opportunities for career progression.
Education & Skill Requirements
- A Postgraduate (Master’s) Degree in Urban Design, with a background in Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Design.
- An excellent design portfolio is essential, with evidence of working at various scales.
- 2-3 years of previous experience in professional practice in Urban Design or related field will be required as a minimum.
- Passionate about design and thrive in an environment where you can demonstrate initiative, creativity, self-sufficiency & responsibility.
- Confident in presenting to, coordinating and liaising with clients and consultants
- Excellent software skills, and proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite. A knowledge of GIS, Sketchup or Revit software would also be useful.
- Strong communicator and all-round team player who’s keen to collaborate and achieve as part of a larger team.
- Generates excellent design sketches, diagrams, plans, models and renderings for reports and presentations, and can produce high quality written content.
