As we mark Adam’s one-year anniversary with us at LHC as our Junior Graphic Designer, we believe it’s high time to introduce him properly.
Fresh out of the University of Plymouth with a degree in Graphic Design with Typography, Adam brings an abundance of energy and enthusiasm to all his work. He possesses a keen eye for aesthetics and a strong passion for visual storytelling, constantly bringing fresh ideas to our talented design team.
What sets Adam apart is his ability to approach design challenges in innovative and unconventional ways. He firmly believes that every design should evoke emotions, effectively communicate, and leave a lasting impact on the audience.
Around the office, Adam has earned a reputation for his infectious laughter and his fondness for biscuits or a slice of cake. We had the opportunity to catch up with Adam, delving into his approach to work here at LHC and learning more about him.
What 3 words would you use to describe yourself?
Driven, Attentive, Aspirational.
What motivates you in your work?
The sight of my creations in the real world serves as a tremendous source of inspiration for me. There’s an incredible sense of satisfaction that comes from witnessing something I’ve poured so much time, effort, and creativity into finally being out in the open. This feeling of accomplishment is what fuels my desire to continue producing exceptional work.
What sort of work have you enjoyed working on since joining LHC?
Since becoming a part of LHC, I’ve had the opportunity to work on several thrilling projects. Each one has been different to the sort of work I expected from the graphic design industry when leaving university. It has been an enjoyable experience to acquire new skills and explore innovative ways to apply my knowledge to these new design applications. From working on masterplans and artist impression renders to creating infographics and planning documents, each project has been a valuable learning curve that I’ve tried to fully embrace and enjoy.
How would you describe your working style?
When I get a project that deeply captivates my interest, I become highly focused and methodical in my approach. Embracing a structured process has proven effective for some of the projects I’ve had the opportunity to work on here at LHC. Nevertheless, I also relish the chance to incorporate creative play and exploration into my work. I find immense joy in experimenting with different methods and approaches, seeking that spark of inspiration that allows me to craft something distinctive and captivating.
What interests do you have outside of work?
I love everything Japanese. From the language and food to Japan’s rich cultural heritage. It’s somewhere that I want to visit, and I hope to do so soon. In my spare time, I’ve started to teach myself Japanese and have been studying for their language proficiency tests. While It’s slow progress, I hope to become fluent in Japanese in the next 5 years.
What impact do you hope you have within LHC?
I’m eager to work with the team to create some amazing work that has the potential to win awards in the future, connecting us with more great clients with whom we can share our knowledge and expertise.
