LHC Design is a multi-disciplinary design practice. We offer architectural design, urban design and masterplanning, landscape architecture, interior and graphic design. We recognise that our work in the built environment has an impact and we are concentrating our efforts on reducing our operational carbon footprint, ensuring our designs respond positively to climate change, incorporating best-practice sustainable development principles and reducing energy use.
Early in 2021 LHC Design resolved to sign and endorse the Devon Climate Declaration prepared by the Devon Climate Emergency Action Group.
The Declaration sets out an ambition to tackle climate change that covers all of Devon, including those people who live, work in and visit our county, and those businesses who are based or operate here.
We are pleased to show our support for the Declaration, and for the work of the Net Zero Task Force in creating the Interim Devon Carbon Plan. We have submitted feedback and a letter of support which offers constructive suggestions drawn from our own areas of expertise. Alongside our endorsement of the Devon Climate Declaration we have also declared our support for the Exeter Net Zero 2030 Plan and Plymouth’s Resurgam action plan.
Our Sustainability & Environmental Action Group was formed in 2019 and includes representatives from all our teams at all levels of the business.
