Alex Ford

Graduate Landscape Architect

Alex first joined LHC during her university holidays while studying Landscape Architecture at Birmingham City University. After graduating with a First she joined LHC as Graduate Landscape Architect three days a week, while also working for Toby Buckland’s Powderham Garden Centre where she is enjoying expanding her knowledge of colour, texture, unique properties of plants, pollinators and seasonal interest.

Alex has a particular interest in the soft works side of landscape architecture and the effect that impactful planting can have on the user’s experience, health and happiness; such as her recent project to design a kitchen garden planting scheme for an assisted living development in Launceston for adults with learning disabilities.
