Graphics & innovative visualisation now key service offered by LHC

With two new senior appointments, LHC’s Graphics division has moved into a more prominent place in LHC’s multi-disciplinary structure. It now sits firmly alongside architecture, urban design, landscape and interiors as a key service.

Specialising in communicating design via immersive 3D visualisation, CGI, animation and print, LHC Graphics’ client roster includes progressive property professionals, housing developers and other architectural practices. A growing number are welcoming them on board at an early stage to work alongside a wider consultant team.

LHC Graphics has been managed for the last decade by Phil Sanders. Phil has recently been promoted to Associate Director; an indication of the growing importance of this service to LHC, and the increasing demand for it.

Senior Visualiser, Rupert Eveleigh (pictured above) has also joined the team. Rupert moved to LHC in 2021 from the globally recognised TigerX Studio and brought with him many years of expertise and experience across the full spectrum of 3D including Augmented and Virtual Reality.

The team of specialists has been assembled over several years to create a remarkable talent pool for the property sector and wider construction market.

Their output is breathtaking. It can beautifully convey complex architectural, interior and landscape designs to a variety of audiences; whether at a design team meeting, public consultation event or sales showroom.

Constantly innovating, Phil and his team like to challenge current ideas of how CGI and new technologies can be used to communicate and support clients’ projects. In 2020 this innovative approach was recognised with a sizeable grant from software developer Epic, enabling the team to invest in research and development into real-time interactive modelling within visualisation software, Unreal Engine.

This expertise is already reaping benefits for property and housing developer clients, with a range of information accessible through various interactive methods. The quality of output is improved, interactivity is enriched, and render time is reduced, which has the added benefit of reducing its carbon footprint.

If engaged at an early stage Phil, Rupert and fellow visualiser Theo Chronis are able to harness the huge potential of architectural design software Revit and Arci Cad; combining it with power of Unreal Engine to create assets with almost limitless possibilities.

Whether on a laptop screen, interactive touch screen, VR headset or still image it can show what it’s truly like to inhabit a space, to look at textures, to gain a birds-eye view and to experience something which exists only in the imagination of the designer.

Alongside the visualisation offering, the team has also embraced opportunities to diversify and bolster the more ‘traditional’ graphic design service in response to increased demand from clients. Graphic designers Adam Lee and Alex Wilson apply their skills to branding, print and digital media design applications, UI/UX and environmental design. They deliver outstanding design solutions for clients from the construction industry and other sectors; bringing a fresh and imaginative approach to every brief.

Phil Sanders and his team will happily demonstrate how LHC Graphics can support your projects. In the meantime take a look at their showreel.
