First outing for our new cycle jerseys: Aecom 100

Tim Arkell and David Entrican from our landscape team joined old friends and colleagues for the epic Aecom 100 SW&W ride recently. A really enjoyable and challenging charity event in aid of SSAFA The Armed Forces Charity, it provided an ideal opportunity to take our new LHC cycle jerseys for their first spin. Between rain showers this week we also managed to get some snaps of our LHC cycle ‘team’ (i.e. the ones who’d remembered their jerseys and are mad enough to take part in networking rides).

Starting in Tiverton, the Aecom ride took in 100km of roads and lanes with 1400m of climbing up through Exmoor National Park. The ride was a great success despite the damp conditions and low cloud hanging over Exmoor on the day. Great chat and fabulous food took the edge of the rain and all riders made it back safely, albeit with a puncture or three on the run back down the Exe Valley!

Thanks to Aecom for the invitation and for organising the ride and to Primal for our lovely new tops.
