Exeter Science Park’s CEO, Sally Basker, talks to LHC Design

Construction began recently on our pioneering V-Simulators research building – and to mark the occasion we’re sharing a short film we made recently with Dr Basker, on LHC’s work for Exeter Science Park.

The new V-Simulators building, designed by LHC and being built by Morgan Sindall, will house the University of Exeter’s ground-breaking virtual simulation chamber. This state-of-the-art, world class equipment combines virtual reality technology capable of immersing up to nineoccupants simultaneously in headset-projected VR scenarios, on a 4m x 4m platform which can be physically and virtually reconfigured for simulation of subtle vibrational movement.

LHC has designed a discreet, bespoke, highly-specified office and research building capable of housing this unique technology, which sits comfortably within the overall design vision for the Park and we’re excited to see it develop on-site.
