The value of the Design Review Panel

Architect and Director of our Plymouth studio, Graham Devine, gives his view on the design review panel process from the perspective of being both a member of the panel and the Director of a busy practice of architects and urban designers who use the panel’s services.

Four LHC professionals sit on the panel offering different areas of expertise, including architects Graham Devine and Mark Daley; Grant Elliott, who specialises in conservation and heritage architecture for LHC, and urban designer and landscape architect, Paul Osborne.

The Design Review Panel provides an impartial, multi-disciplinary, constructive, expert, peer review process during the pre-application stage of the planning process, to applicants and local authorities across the south west of England including Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset.

“The Design Review Panel provides an opportunity for developers and local authorities alike to have access to some of the best built environment practitioners in the region. Working together proactively and passionately we can raise the quality of urban living and conserve and enhance the places that make our county the best in the country.”          Andy Robbins, Development Manager, Exeter City Council
