Jacob Charlton-Shaw

Part 2 Architectural Assistant

Jacob first joined our team for his RIBA Part 1 placement and has now returned as a Part 2 Architectural Assistant after graduating with First-Class (Distinction) honours in both his Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Architecture (MArch) degrees from the University of Plymouth.

During his Master’s studies, Jacob earned several prestigious accolades, including the RIBA Silver Medal Commendation in 2023 and the KTA Design Award for his innovative design work based in Sudan. He was also recognised with the University of Plymouth’s Design Award and Urban Methodologies Award in 2022.

Since rejoining the team, Jacob has contributed to a variety of residerecognisedntial projects across the Southwest. He also played a key role in the feasibility work that secured funding for Jamaica Street Studios, ensuring the restoration of an 18th-century carriageworks building in Bristol. This project revitalizes a historically significant structure while providing a renewed creative space for local artists.
